Actors sought for part of World-Wide Ukrainian Play Readings, a global initiative

Seeking actors to perform in a staged reading of the one-act play, A Dictionary of Emotions in War Time by Yelena Astasyeva, on Saturday, June 4 at Prosser Auditorium, Moravian University.

Casting three actresses in mid-20s to 30's. The play is directed by Randall Forte, with six rehearsals scheduled at Moravian University in Bethlehem. Actors will receive a $50 stipend.

Lehigh Valley artists and the local Ukrainian community are presenting this event as part of World-Wide Ukrainian Play Readings, a global initiative to commission and stage new plays which give artistic voice to artists. Through live, broadcast, and virtual readings, the events will ask audiences to donate funds to support humanitarian relief for the millions of Ukrainians besieged by the assault on their homes, language, and culture.

We join more than 70 theaters worldwide in 18 countries in presenting new work by 15 Ukrainian playwrights that document their experiences of the war. The mission: "Bring the wisdom, insight and pain of Ukraine's writers to the world. Stand with us against darkness."
