Civic Theatre of Allentown is currently looking for actors for its 2018-2019 Season, which consists of the following productions: BILLY ELLIOT, THE MUSICAL; A CHRISTMAS CAROL; THE SANTALAND DIARIES; NOISES OFF; BUYER & CELLAR; THE LION KING, JR.; FUN HOME; CONSTELLATIONS. Auditions will be held on Monday, May 7th and Tuesday May 8th both at 7 PM in the upstairs rehearsal studio in Civic’s historic 19th Street theatre. Actors are asked to bring a current picture/headshot and resume (if applicable) to the audition. We will be auditioning ALL PRODUCTIONS on both nights. Actors of ALL AGES are welcome both nights at ALL TIMES.
If auditioning for BILLY ELLIOT, THE MUSICAL or FUN HOME, actors are asked to prepare 16 bars of a piece from the musical of your interest. Please limit your selection to only 16 bars. Please make sure to bring your music with CLEAR starting and ending points marked for our accompanist’s use.
If auditioning for THE SANTALAND DIARIES, NOISES OFF, or BUYER & CELLAR, actors may prepare a brief monologue if they choose, but this is not necessary. We will be doing cold readings at the auditions. Sides will be available on the day of auditions.
Children auditions for A CHRISTMAS CAROL will be held at a later date. Auditions for THE LION KING, JR. will be held at a later date. There are no roles open in CONSTELLATIONS.
If needed, callbacks will be Monday, May 14th at 7 PM in the upstairs rehearsal studio as well.
