The Shawnee Playhouse in conjunction with The Shawnee Preservation Society is collecting food to benefit area families in need this Holiday season. Bring non-perishable food items and receive $5 off the regular adult ticket price to our headline show, Once Upon a Christmas, or $2 off the regular admission price for A Winnie The Pooh Christmas.

Please note: At least one non – perishable item must be exchanged for each ticket discounted. Discounts cannot be combined.

Once Upon a Christmas tells the story of two tourists wrongfully accused of counterfeiting and denied parole just days before Christmas. They decide to risk everything by escaping from prison and setting out on a mission to clear their names. Once Upon a Christmas is a modern holiday adventure.

Tickets for Once Upon a Christmas are $28 for adults, $15 for children, $25 for seniors.

The Shawnee Preservation Society will also be collecting donations for the Food Pantry for on Saturday, December 5 between 11 am and 1 pm in the front of The Shawnee Playhouse next to the Holiday tree. Wanted are canned foods such as soup, vegetables, spam, tuna, salmon, tomato sauce, gravy, coffee, peanut butter and jelly etc. and boxed goods such as pasta, potatoes, dressing, noodles, crackers, rice etc.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there also to greet the children!
