Pennsylvania Playhouse Auditions:Ever wanted to sing with a big band' Here's your chance! Audition for the Pennsylvania Playhouse production of "The 1940's Radio Hour". Be part of the swinging group as we present a staged radio show featuring the great songs of the big band era!
Auditions are scheduled for September 20 and 21 from 7:00 – 9:30 pm at Pennsylvania Playhouse on Illick's Mill Rd., Bethlehem, PA. Auditioners should come prepared to sing 16 bars of a ballad AND an up-tempo tune in the 1940's big band style. Please bring sheet music, an accompanist will be provided. NO pre-recorded accompaniment or a cappella auditions, please. Tonal memory and group singing will be part of the vocal audition. You will also be asked to read from the script. People of color encouraged to audition.
