Town and Country Players announces auditions will be held for their June production of 'The Dark at the Top of the Stairs'.
The audtions are scheduled for April 13 and 14 from 1 to 4, with call-backs April 17 from 730 to 930 at the Central Bucks Senior Center, 700 Shady Retreat Road, Doylestown, PA.
The drama by William Inge is set in 1920s Oklahoma, and centers on Cora Flood and her troubled marriage;her shy daughter; and sensitive, star-struckson. A tragic event brings all their fears into focus and teaches them to shed light on their fears to dispel them.
The show is directed by Kate Fishman and produced by Sharon Rill.
'The Dark at the Top of the Stairs' will be performed at The Town and Country Players Theater June 14 to 29. The theater is located at 4158 York Road, Buckingham, PA.

All roles are open, and newcomers are welcome.
Open auditions consist of a cold reading from the script, which will be provided. Auditioners are asked to bring a current photo or headshot and an updated resume to the audition.
Available roles include:
CORA FLOOD: Age- late 30's. An overprotective mother, she worries her childrendon't have everything they need in the world.
RUBIN FLOOD: Age- early 40's. A traveling salesman, he struggles with the knowledgehe hasn't lived up to his wife's expectations.
SONNY: Age- 10 years old. Cora's son. Bullied by his school mates he loses himselfin movies and the lives of film stars.
REENIE: Age- 16 years old. Cora's daughter. Painfully shy and self-conscious.
LOTTIE LACEY: Age- early 40's. Cora's older sister. A dominerring character.
MORRIS LACEY: Age- early 40's. Low key, he's learned not to override his wife.
FLIRT CONROY: Age- 16 years old - Reenie's flapper girlfriend. Self-confidentand daring.
SAMMY GOLDENBAUM: Age-17 years old. Reenie's date. A sensitive and charming youngman.
PUNKY GIVENS: Age- 17 years old. Flirt's date. Reticent and quiet.
