Pines Dinner Theatres "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", playing through August 22, is adelightfully and sweetly sleazy mystery comic musical.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels starts with mysterious Latin music, designed to draw the audience in, as each couple comes out and dances.

The first two characters, Lawrence and Andre, portrayed by Sean Carroll and Kristopher Wills, are delightfully sleazy. Carroll has a nice baritone and Wills has a rich bass.

Kyleigh Vicoso was sweet as Lenore. Even though she is a minor character, the audience sensed that she has maturity beyond her years. The same could be said of the sophisticated Sophia.

Jennifer Wills, as Muriel, is mature and no-nonsense. Her mezzo-soprano is beautiful and precise.rotten

Leslea Rodig as Jolene Hoax is a stereotypical dingbat, complete with high-pitched voice and Valley Girl attitude! She has a nice country-style alto, complementing her Southern accent.

Freddy does very well pretending to be Ruprett, Lawrences alleged brother who thinks hes a dog.

Abigail Garrigans alto as Christine is strong and clear. She has a fun personality.

Kristopher and Jennifer Wills are a real-life couple, and play very well off each other in a scene where they have an affair, and subsequently when they fall in love for real.

The principle men in the show do a great job pretending to be other people, while most of the women do a great job portraying their annoyance with the mens antics.

Christine, Freddy and Lawrence all yodel very nicely! Ofalt and Garrigan sound beautiful in "Love is My Legs, and Christine, Freddy and Lawrence all yodel nicely!

"Great Big Stuff" is an entertaining number with most of the cast appear dancing dressed as servants. Another highlight is Andres and Muriels song "Like Zis, Like Zat" featuring a very entertaining and bemused mime.

The theatre is located at 448 N. 17th St. in Allentown.
