'November', Crowded Kitchen Players' critically acclaimed production of David Mamet's political comedy about a Presidential election, will be presented for one-night only, October 22 at 8PM at The Proper Brewing Company, 117 West Broad Street, Quakertown, Pa.

The production will be completing its Bethlehem run at The Charles A. Brown IceHouse on Friday at 8PM.

'November' at The Proper represents a return of sorts for the Lehigh Valley based repertory company, which performed for seven seasons at another Quakertown venue. Their last production, 'Too Clever by Half', was in June 2014.

Since then, CKP has produced primarily original comedies in a variety of Lehigh Valley venues, including The IceHouse in Bethlehem; Zion's Reform Church (Liberty Bell Shrine) in Allentown; and Unicorn Theatre in Catasauqua.November Qtown compressed

SYNOPSIS

A wildly unpopular president with zero chance at re-election is determined to leave office with as much cash as he can grab by selling pardons, auctioning off White House furniture, and extorting millions from interest groups such as the National Turkey Association and representatives of the Micmac Tribe which seeks to build a casino on Nantucket Island.

When it premiered in New York in 2008, 'November' hilariously skewered the failed presidency of George W. Bush.

In 2016, the play is still frantically funny, but now more foreboding, a chilling prophecy of the likely consequences of an even more dismal administration four years hence.
