Join DCP Theatre’s swashbuckling crew for the second Family Theatre production of the 2018 season as they set sail on the maiden voyage of local playwright John O’Hara’s new play Treasure Island: a Panto Most Piratical. This adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel is an adventure for all ages!
In this humorous twist on the classic, Charlie, an average CPA, husband and dreamer, suddenly finds himself in a tavern with a band of pirates including Davey Jones and the notorious Long John Silver.
When Jim Hawkins enters the pub, Charlie realizes his normal world has disappeared and he is off on a voyage to Treasure Island with an unlikely crew. When they arrive at the island, mermaids and cannibals threaten their success. Nevertheless, treasure awaits discovery!
Performances are one weekend only on Friday May 11 at 8 pm; Saturday May 12 at 1 and 4 pm; and Sunday May 13 at 1 and 4 pm.
