Munopco, the Lehigh Valley's oldest theater group will present "Godspell" in conjunction with Between The Lines Theater at 725 N.15th Street in Allentown, Pa.
The show will be performed on September 11, 12, 18, and 19 at 7:00PM, and on September 13 and 20 at 2:00PM.
"Godspell" is a musical in two acts with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by John-Micheal Tebelak.
The show is structured as a series of parables, primarily based on Book of Matthew, interspersed with music mostly set to lyrics from traditional hymns, with the passion of Christ appearing briefly near the end.
The cast includes Ryan Zickafoose as Jesus, Colin Sergent as John The Baptist/Judas, Rob Adams, Matt Redline, Elizabeth-Marsh Gilkeson, Lori Sivick, Moriah Faith, Lisandra Espiritusanto, Deb Jacoby, and Tracy Weaver.
The production is directed by Rody Gilkeson with musical direction by Nancy Shumaker.
Choreography is by Kayla Courtney with lighting and sound design by Jon Tobias and stage management by Michelle Cerrone.
