Dutch Country Players is proud to host a staged reading of a new work, 'Paradigm Shift', by local playwright Maddie Bender, Jan 19, 2013 at 8 PM.
After the reading Maddie will be hosting a talk back to answer any audience questions.

"Remember when your answering machine was still a lifeline'
"Mica, Adrianna, and Walter are the best of friends on a reckless journey through the 90s as they date through straight, gay, and bisexual relationships, make career changes up and down the corporate ladder, and try to get to the trendiest NY hot spots before Mother finds out their location.
"Mica is a Buyer for Saks who recently broke with her now, State Senator girlfriend, little to the knowledge of her husband.
"Adrianna is a babbling, neurotic housewife about to go through a very messy divorce from a possessive and lethargic husband.
"Walter is their promiscuous and self-appointed fabulous gay best friend, with a penchant for suicide bombing his acting career with his big mouth.
"The three of them, though judgmental of each others lifestyles and choices, are inseparable. Each is at a turning point in their lives where they lean on each other to find the strength to move forward and understand themselves and the world around them."
'Paradigm Shift' contains themes of lesbian, gay, and alternative lifestyles and adult language.
