Allentown, PA – The Pines Dinner Theatre, 448 N 17th Street, Allentown Pa celebrates the start of their 10th Anniversary season with "I Do I Do" playing February 8 through March 24, 2019.
In celebration of our 10th anniversary season in Allentown, the Pines Dinner Theatre will open 2019 with "I Do! I Do!"; the very same production we started with back in 2010! "What better way to celebrate our tenth season, than by producing this beautiful show. It's always been one of our favorites, and we're thrilled to share it with our audiences again," states producer, Oliver Blatt.
The story of marriage is at the center of this intimate and nostalgic work by Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones, the authors of "The Fantastics."
The show begins with Michael (played by Michael Lee) and Agnes (played by Suzanne Ogden) on their wedding day and traces their life together over a period of 50 years until the day they leave their house to the next pair of newlyweds.
In that time, we watch them go through their wedding night jitters, raise a family, negotiate mid-life crises, quarrel, separate, reconcile and grow old together, all lovingly to the strains of a tuneful charming score which includes the standard "My Cup Runneth Over."
For dinner our guests will have the choice of Balsamic Glazed Grilled Chicken Caprese, Pan Seared Breaded Honey Dijon Pork Loin, or Striped Pangasius each served with seasonal vegetables and Rosemary Roasted Potoates, or Butternut Squash Ravioli in a brown butter sauce or Fettuccine Alfredo with Broccoli.
All entrees include salad, fresh baked bread, and family style apple crisp for dessert. Beverages and dessert upgrades are available for an additional charge.
The Pines Dinner Theatre has been nationally recognized numerous times for its productions, dinner, and ambience.
Recently the Pines has been listed as one of "America's Top 10 Unmissable Dinner Theatres" by culturetrip.com, one of the top 16 theatre choices by Group Leisure Travel Magazine, and has been awarded a "Certificate of Excellence" for 2017 and 2018 by Trip Advisor!
"I Do! I Do!" plays at The Pines Dinner Theatre from February 8 through March 24, 2019.
Matinee performances (12:30 p.m. dinner, 2 p.m. show) are Thursdays and Sundays, evening performances (6:30 p.m. dinner, 8 p.m. show) are Fridays and Saturdays.
Ticket prices are $50 for adults, $35 for Students (10-16) and $20 for children ages 2-9. Ticket prices include dinner, show, ticket fees and tax. Beverages and gratuity are not included.
