Worthington Players of Shawnee Playhouse will present Shawnee One Act Winners three short plays running January 5 and continuing through January 13.
The plays are Getting Out The Green by Paul Kodiak, Succession by Charles White, and Real Friends Help You Move by K.K. Gordon.
Performances at the Shawnee Playhouse will be 8:00 pm January 5 and January 12, and 2:00 pm January 6, 11 and 13
Ticket Prices are $18 Adults and $15 for Seniors over 55, AAA Members and Military.
The Worthington Players are Shawnees performers for off-season shows. The off season runs from January to March.
The Worthington Players were established in 1999 and to date have focused on non-musical productions. Each year, they produce and perform the original work of an area playwright, chosen by our Executive Committee from among submissions received in an open contest.
Plays are then seen during our Staged Readings and voted on by audience members.
Shawnee Playhouse will also be presenting Handy Dandy by William Gibson, January 18 to January 27.
Alternately funny and touching, this œdramedy uses the unlikely and slowly developing friendship between a worldly District Court judge and an aging, radical nun to point out the terrible threat inherent in the nuclear policies pursed by so-called œcivilized nations.
Performances at the Shawnee Playhouse will be 8:00 pm January 18,19,25 and 26, and 2:00 pm January 18, 20, 25 and 27.
