Shawnee Playhouse and C&K Dance Theatre presents an hour-long abbreviated version of The Classical Tchaikovsky ballet Sleeping Beauty. This is the story of the ill-fated Princess Aurora cursed to sleep for a hundred years by the evil fairy Carabosse who was scorned by Aurora's parents. This ballet includes a whimsical list of characters including Puss in Boots, Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella. Princess Aurora is being played by Katie Schlemmer, a sophomore from Pennsylvania Leadership Cyber School.This production is being presented by C&K Dance Theater and Shawnee Playhouse as a part of their mission to expose children to classical ballets and dance.
