The Englewood Sun Herald called Sin, Sex and the C.I.A a "rib splittingly funny" play with "a complex and hilariously funny plot." This physical comedy, riddled with dialogue that will send the the audience into uncontrollable belly laughs, will be presented by the Worthington Players at the Shawnee Playhouse May 3 through May 19th.Sin Sex and the C.I.A. 2

The Chagos Islands have been found to be the site of huge oil reserves bountiful enough to capture the attention of O.P.E.C., which is actively courting the government of the islands to lure them into the cartel. However, the Chagosians are not sure that they want to be part of O.P.E.C. and ask to be put under the protection of the United States.

The Chagosians and the Americans begin negotiations for the new alliance at a safe house in the mountains of Virginia. Under Secretary of State, MargaretJohnson, and a novice CIA agent, Luke James, on his first field assignment are dispatched to oversee the conference. However, there is one problem - no one knows who the islands representative really is.

In his attempts to secure the cabin from unwanted O.P.E.C. interference, James proves to be more of a danger to himself and the conference attendees than to any potential interlopers. If James antics are not enough to keep the audience laughing, a delightful collection of characters descend on the cabin to keep the misunderstandings, missed cues and innuendos flying.

Seeking shelter for the night after his car broke down, the Reverend Samuel Abernathy arrives at the cabin with his, if you believe appearances, dowdy secretary, Millicent. Abernathy, a hell fire and damnation televangelist finds sin around every corner and rampant in everyone present.

The mysterious and sexy next-door neighbor, Heather Faraday, comes knocking at the cabin door. The storm has caused her power to go out. She asks to stay the night so she can keep. It is not too long before he has her own ideas about how to accomplish that.
