Pennsylvania Playhouse will present The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee over three weekends this fall.
Winner of 2005 Tony and Drama Desk awards, Spelling Bee is the tale of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime.
Director Ralph Montesano states he is "continually amazed with the talent of his cast" which features Wendy Borst, Gary Boyer, Ryan Doncsecz, Nina Elias, Will Windsor Erwin, Bryan Jones, Kate Pistone, Peter Sikalias and Kristen Stechina.
"Their ability to create lovable characters will prove to have you belly laughing one moment and crying the next as they tell their stories."
Lighting design is by J. Bradley Youst, set construction by Dan Lewis, set painting by Michael Thomas, costumes by Vicki Montesano. The show is stage managed by Cheryl Wenhold.
Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm, Sept 27, 28, and Oct 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12 and 13, 2013 at Pennsylvania Playhouse on Illicks Mill Road in Bethelehem Pa.
