The Pale Moon Players will present the comedy The Foreigner by Larry Shue November 8th, 9th, 15th, and 16th at 7:30pm.
Betty Meeks fishing lodge in rural Georgia is a sleepy little place “ until Charlie Baker shows up, speaking a strange language and claiming to understand no English. Charlie suddenly becomes privy to all the towns secrets, with unexpected and hilarious results.
The Foreigner marks the 4th main stage production by The Pale Moon Players. Their first play, "Hyronomous A. Frog" was staged last fall. Since then they have performed one other children's show called "Wooing Wed Widing Hood and another adult comedic play called "The Fox on the Fairway" last April.
The cast includes many local veteran performers including Brent Harris as Charlie Baker, the "foreigner" of the plays title and Michelle Stoudt who plays the kind-hearted fishing lodge owner Betty Meeks. Charlies friend and confidante, exuberant Staff Sergeant "Froggy" LeSueur, will be played by Bob Fatzinger.
Newcomer Patricia Marko plays the sympathetic debutante Catherine Simms, who finds herself confiding in her "exotic" new friend and her sometime dimwitted little brother, Ellard, is played by Kane Zerbe.
The cast is rounded out with Douglas Rau playing the Reverend David Marshall Lee and his sidekick Owen Musser played by Dave Zimmerman.
The Foreigner and other Pale Moon Player's main stage productions are presented at Grace Lutheran Church at 4th and Mahoning Sts in Lehighton, PA where there is free parking, free refreshments and the theater is handicapped accessible.
Ticket prices are $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for students and seniors.
