Star of the Day Event Productions presents Woodstock “ Peace, Love, and Music- a family-friendly NY Style Cabaret show filled with popular music performed at the original Woodstock Music Festival 45 years ago.
The show will be performed Sunday, August 31, 2014 4PM in SteelsStacks at ArtsQuest.
They invite you to enjoy music made famous by Janis Joplin, Joan Baez, CCR, Richie Havens, The Who and more.
Local singers Doug Ace, Kirsten Almeida, Tehya Berkner, Marissa Brewer, Andrea Cartagena, Mike Daniels, and Amanda Carole Pascale round out the cast that will bring you the best hits from the 1969 music and art fair.
August 2014 marks the 45th Anniversary of the infamous music festival whose primary mission was to create a free weekend of music with the idea that music can promote peace, love and harmony.
Star of the Day hopes to capture the highlights of the music from that event as they present it in cabaret format backed by a 3 piece band: Kevin OConnell on piano, Peder Halvorsen on bass and Mark Marina on drums.
Doors open at 3PM and show begins promptly at 4PM. ALL TICKETS $8.
