Pennsylvania Play house will hold auditions September 19 from 3-6pm, and September 21 from 7-9pm for Irving Berlins "Holiday Inn", based on the 1941 Universal Studios motion picture starring Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, and Marjorie Reynolds.

The show will run December 3-19, with rehearsals starting in October.

Auditions will be held at the Playhouse located at 390 ILLICK'S MILL ROAD, BETHLEHEM, PA.

ACTING SIDES WILL BE PROVIDED. ALL AUDITIONERS PREPARE TO SING WHITE CHRISTMAS. SIGHT READING HARMONIES WILL BE PART OF THE AUDITION.

DANCERS WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHING - A COMBINATION WILL BE TAUGHT. BRING TAP SHOES.

CASTING BREAKDOWN:

Jim Hardy - A performer and singer-songwriter eager to leave showbiz behind for a simpler life on a farm in Connecticut. Thirties, great singer (baritone) and dancer (no tap).

Ted Hanover - Jims best friend and performing partner; a charming ladies man looking for his big break. Thirties, singer (baritone) and dance. Must tap.

Lila Dixon - A determined performer and Jims mismatched fiancee.Thirties, high belt, must tap.

Danny - Jim, Ted and Lilas agent. May have multiple roles. Forties to Sixty. Must be able to carry a tune.

Charlie Winslow - A precocious bank messenger, age nine to twelve.

Linda Mason - A school teacher with hidden talents of a singer and dancer (belt/mix). Thirties.

Louise - The local "fix-it" women; tough, no nonsense and extremely perceptive. Must sing (belt) and move well. Fifties to Sixties.

Ensemble - Must sing well, hold harmonies, dance (heavy tap). Eighteen to Forty.
