The Pennsylvania Playhouse is excited to announce auditions for “Avenue Q!”Winner of the Tony "Triple Crown" for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book,

Auditions will be held at the Pennsylvania Playhouse (390 Illick’s Mill Road, Bethlehem, PA 18017) on Sunday, May 5 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Monday, May 6 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Callbacks will be held on Thursday, May 9 starting at 7:00 PM.

“Avenue Q” is a part human, part puppet comedy which follows a group of twenty-something friends seeking their purpose in big-city life.

“Avenue Q” tells the story of a recent college graduate named Princeton, who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q.

He soon discovers that, although the residents seem nice, it's clear this is not your ordinary neighborhood.

Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates and the ever-elusive purpose in life.

Actors will perform cold-readings and should prepare 16 to 32 measures of a contemporary Broadway or contemporary pop style song.

An accompanist will be provided but you may bring an instrumental-only track (no vocals on the track) and no acapella auditions, please.Actors are encouraged to bring a resume.

You may bring a headshot to the audition; however, all actors will be having their photo taken.

There will be no dance auditions, so you do not need to wear dance attire.

A movement audition will be held at the callbacks.“Avenue Q” contains mature content and language. Any actor under the age of 18 must have a signed consent form from a parent or guardian to audition.

“Avenue Q” will be directed by Clair M. Freeman with musical direction by Brian Foley and choreography by Joanellyn Schubert.

Performances are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from July 26 to August 11. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 PM and Sundays are at 6:00 PM.
