The Performing Arts Department at Cedar Crest College, Allentown, has announced its next production for the 2022-2023 season.

A pair of one act plays, Ghost Stories and Approaching Lavendar, are scheduled to open on Thursday, Oct. 27; the four performances will be directed by Clair M. Freeman.

Both plays focus on women in the midst of sorting out their lives, and were chosen to showcase the talents of Cedar Crest's acting students. The audience will share the stage in an intimate black box setting.

In Ghost Stories, by Annie Evans, three college friends find that a story told around a campfire's glow leads to bitter truths about the lives they've created for themselves. Approaching Lavendar, Julie Beckett Crutcher's charming comedy, concerns two sisters who come face to face with the newest member of their extended (and extensive) family.

The cast of Ghost Stories includes Carter Reichard, Madison Paige Anusky, and Anjolene Johnson; Katie Moyer, Chelsi Fread and Sofia Barbour play the roles in Approaching Lavendar.

Performances will be offered on Thursday, Oct. 27 - Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 30 at 2:00 p.m. Seating is general admission on the Samuels Theatre stage. Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for seniors 62+; and $5 for non-CCC students; they are available at cedarcrest.edu/stage or by calling the Box Office at 610-606-4608.
