The Pennsylvania Playhouse, located at 390 Illicks Mill Road, Bethlehem PA presents "Our Lady of the Tortilla" by Luis Santeiro, Friday, January 27th to Sunday, February 12th, 2023.

The play tells a story about family and how, despite our differences, love is the most important thing of all!

The Cruz family is volatile even in the best of times. On this particular day, Nelson, the youngest son, enters the house in a panic to hide the more obvious religious relics from the sight of his non-Hispanic girlfriend, who is visiting for the weekend.

Nelsons mother, Dahlia, is obsessed with retrieving her husband from his new girlfriend. Her elder son, Eddie, shows up in a van with his failed life and pregnant girlfriend.Tortilla

But the real pandemonium is caused by sweet, long suffering Dolores, Dahlias old-maid sister, when she sees the face of the Holy Virgin in a tortilla!

As the family struggles with beliefs and conflicts the endurance of family love is revealed to be the real miracle.

Directed by Kathy Pacheco, "Our Lady of the Tortilla" features primarily a Latin cast which includes Sonia Strockyj as Dolores Cantú, Gloria Millheim as Dahlia Cruz, Dave Donado as Nelson Cruz, Andrew Maldonado as Eddie Cruz, Lana Brucker as Beverly Barnes and Tamara Decker as Valerie Spinetti.
