Allentown, Pa. – The Pines Dinner Theatre, 448 N 17th St, Allentown, will be presenting Singin’ In The Rain July 9 through August 21.

The "Greatest Movie Musical of All Time" is faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends Betty Comden and Adolph Green from their original award-winning screenplay in Singin' In The Rain. Each unforgettable scene, song, and dance is accounted for, including the show-stopping title number, complete with an onstage rainstorm! Hilarious situations, snappy dialogue, and a hit-parade score of Hollywood standards make Singin' In The Rain the perfect entertainment for any fan of the golden age of movie musicals.

Singin’ In The Rain marks the culmination of the seventh summer season since the Pines moved to the West End of Allentown. Featuring over 20 different settings, and of course real rain on stage, Singin’ In The Rain is the biggest and most challenging production the Pines Dinner Theatre has mounted. But, notes director Oliver Blatt, “we’re incredibly excited to bring the movie to life on stage, including real rain for every performance!”

But the show is only the second half of the guest’s entertainment. Act I features the food at the Pines Dinner Theatre. Dinner always includes salad, fresh baked bread, beverage service of iced tea, water and coffee, along with entrée and dessert. Patrons also have the opportunity to purchase specialty drinks before the show and at intermission.

The Pines Dinner Theatre has been nationally recognized numerous times for its productions, dinner, and ambience. Recently the Pines has been listed as one of “America’s Top 10 Unmissable Dinner Theatres” by theculturetrip.com and also as one of the “Top 16 Theatre Choices for 2015” by Leisure Group Travel, a national group travel magazine.
