Allentown, Pa. – The Pines welcomes the Summer of 2017 with The Bikinis live on stage!
Back together after 20 years, the 4 ladies of the girl group "The Bikinis" bring back the sun, fun and all the great songs they sang down on the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore...all to raise money for the good folks at Sandy Shores Mobile Home Beach Resort.
The Bikinis or "The Jersey Girls," relive their heyday and beyond, beginning with the summer of 1964, the night these four inseparable friends got their name, winning the Belmar Beach Talent Contest, wearing just their bikinis! The boardwalk was smitten with the 4 teens...Jodi and Annie, two sisters from Paramus New Jersey; Karla, their slightly manipulative first cousin from Philly; and best friend Barbara, from Staten Island.
Based on a true story, this nonstop celebration of song is filled with hits like "In His Kiss," "Heat Wave," "Under the Boardwalk," "Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" and many more!
This non-stop beach party stars the talents of Amber Blatt as "Jodi," Katelyn Lauria as "Karla," Morgan Daniels as "Annie," and Candace C. Culcleasure as "Barbara." The Bikinis is created and written by Ray Roderick and James Hindman with music by Joe Baker and Lyrics by Ray Roderick. Directed and choreographed by Oliver Blatt and under the music direction of Stacy Bechtel, this show promises to have everyone dancing in the aisles.
But the show is only the second half of the guest's entertainment. Act I features the food at the Pines Dinner Theatre. Our guests will have the choice of Grilled Mango Pineapple Pork Loin, Teriyaki Marinated Beef Skewers or Striped Pangasius each served with seasonal vegetable and smashed potatoes, or Mushroom Ravioli in a garlic butter sauce or Fettuccine Alfredo with steamed broccoli. All entrees include a garden salad, fresh baked bread, family style apple crisp and ice cream, as well as iced-tea, coffee or hot tea.
The Pines Dinner Theatre has been nationally recognized numerous times for its productions, dinner, and ambience. Recently the Pines has been listed as one of "America's Top 10 Unmissable Dinner Theatres" by theculturetrip.com and also as one of the "Top 16 Theatre Choices for 2015" by Leisure Group Travel, a national group travel magazine.
The Bikinis plays at the Pines Dinner Theatre July 7 through August 20, 2017. Evening performances (6:30 p.m. dinner, 8:00 p.m. show) are Friday and Saturday, afternoon performances (12:30 p.m. dinner, 2:00 p.m. show) are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Ticket prices are $50 for adults, $49 for seniors (60+), $35.00 for Students (10-16) and $20.00 for children ages 2-9. Ticket prices include dinner, beverages during dinner, the show, and tax. Gratuity is not included.
