The Worthington Players, the artistic arm of The Shawnee Institute, whose "home stage" is the Shawnee Playhouse, received ten awards at the annual banquet of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Theatrical Alliance (NEPTA), which honors the best in community theater in the area.
The awards included the following:

The Worthington Players had received a total of 38 nominations for its 2012 productions, which spanned all the NEPTA award categories. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners of the 2013 NEPTA Awards.
