Forge Theater, located at 241 First Ave. in Phoenixville, is holding open auditions for "Carrie: the Musical". Director Tom Yenchick and musical director Denise Wisneski are seeking 4 adults (3 female and 1 male) and 11 to 20 male and females aged 16 to 20. The show runs July 22 “ 24. Youth auditions will be held on April 19 and 21 at 7:00. Auditions for adults will be held on April 24 at 7:00. Rehearsals will be held Sun. evenings, Tues. and Thurs. evenings.
Audition Preparation:
Please prepare a 2-minute song that showcases your voice. Bring sheet music, an accompanist will be present. No pre-recorded music please.
Based on the book by Stephen King, Carrie White is a teenage outcast who longs to fit in. At school, shes bullied by the popular crowd, and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home, she's dominated by her loving but cruelly controlling mother. What none of them know is that Carries just discovered shes got a special power, and if pushed too far, shes not afraid to use it.
