‹Harry Lambert is a lumber company executive living a humdrum life with his wife Edith. He feels his life has grown stale since his recent defeat by his neighbor in an election for town mayor. His adult daughter Kate is of little or no help to anybody; she and her husband Charlie live with Harry and Edith, and Charlie lives a freeloader's life, working at the lumber company. Something is about to change their lives forever. Edith's surprising news will shock the family and the way they embrace this change will leave you laughing. A must see comedy!

Cast of Characters:
‹Harry Lambert: Husband and Father, who owns a large lumber yard. Takes pride in what he does. He is neither happy nor sad, but is comfortable and durable. (Age range 45 - 60 +)
‹Edith Lambert: Wife and Mother with one daughter. She takes care of all the cooking, laundry and cleaning in the house. She has a sweet and mild personally. (Age range 48 - 60 + )
Kate: Daughter to Harry and Edith. Young and married, still lives at home. She doesn't know anything about taking care of a house. She just likes to go out and have fun. (Age range 19-25) Charlie: Husband of Kate, works at the lumber yard for his father-in-law, but has no passion for work or ambition to help out around the house. (Age range 19-25)
Dr. James Kimbrough: Family Doctor and friend of Harry and Edith. (Age range 48 - 70 + )
Grace Kimbrough: Wife of the Doctor and good friends with Edith, always supports Edith. (Age range 48 - 70 +)
Mr. Foley: Carpenter (Age range 20 -50)
Mayor Crane: Mayor and also Lambert's neighbor. (Age range 30 - 70)
Policemen: (could double cast this role with Mr. Foley) (Age range 20 - 50)
