Instead of performing Charles Dickens' beloved holiday classic for the umpteenth time, three actors decide to perform every Christmas story ever told -- plus Christmas traditions from around the world, seasonal icons from ancient times to topical pop-culture, and every carol ever sung. A madcap romp through the holiday season!
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
Each character represents a point of view about Christmas:
Actor #1. (Jim) is holding on to the Tradition of performing "A Christmas Carole"
Actor #2 (John) is bored with the stereotypical Christmas tradition of performing "A Christmas Carole." He also realistically believes in Santa Claus.
Actor #3 (Michael) is go with the flow but supports the idea of doing a new Christmas show, and he is full of Christmas trivia.
Actors should come to auditions prepared to tell a favorite Christmas or Holiday memory in 2minutes or less (it does not have to be funny.)
Actors should come relaxed and ready to be themselves on stage and demonstrate charm and chemistry.
Every Christmas Story Ever Told is fully scripted, part improvised, constantly moving, directly communicating with the audience type of show. It is similar in style to "The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged."
