'The Last Five Years', with Book, Music, and Lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, a struggling actress, telling her story backwards while Jamie, a successful novelist, tells his story chronologically. Auditioners will select a 15-minute time slot from 7:30-10pm on Sunday July 30th and Monday July 31st
Once you've selected your spot and filled in the information, the production team will email you with your audition pieces, and an audition form to be completed before you arrive for your time slot.
Please prepare at least 2 of the three edited song selections sent to you, as well as the monologue.
Memorization isn't required, but be familiar with the pieces.
Accompanist will be provided.
This show will include a significant video component, and additional commitment from the actors for onsite and offsite video work will be requested, in addition to regular rehearsal time.
