Dutch Country Players will be holding auditions at 7:30 PM on January 6 & 7, 2013 for its production of Dorothy Meets Alice
The show will run March 8th through 10th in Telford, PA.
Company literature describes the show as, "The meeting of two of literatures most famous young ladies unfolds when a young man puts off a book report and finds himself in a strange place between Oz and Wonderland. As he tries to unscramble the stories, he has to avoid the Wicked Witch and the Red Queen."
Prepared monologues are not necessary. Auditioners will be doing cold readings from the script.
This is a non-musical production. Vocal and dance auditions are not necessary.
Age ranges refer to the age the actor APPEARS to be and may not necessarily correlate with their ACTUAL age.
Although the show will feature British accents, accents are not a requirement for auditions. We recommend you audition regardless of your ability to do accents.
Resumes and head shots are helpful but not mandatory. A photographer will be available both evenings to take a head shot of anyone auditioning for this show. All those auditioning will be supplied with forms to include their basic contact information, acting experience, etc.
It is not necessary to attend auditions both nights. Choose which night works best for you.
Although acting experience usually improves an actor's ability, it is not mandatory. We encourage anyone with a desire to become involved with live theater to audition. You never know until you try!
