The Pennsylvania Playhouse is pleased to announce auditions for the upcoming production of "The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee", directed by Ralph Montesano, with music direction by Lucille Kincaid.
Auditions will be held July 22 & 23, 2013 from 6-9 PM.
Call backs will be held July 24, 203 from 7-9 PM.Auditions will take place at "Fox at the Mill", the old Illicks Mill just east of the Playhouse on Illicks Mill Road.
Show dates are September 27 through October 13, 2013.

All Roles are open. You must be 16 years old to audition! They are looking for five men, four women.
Please come prepared to sing something that highlights your vocal range and delivery. Your music must be no less than 16 measures and no more than 32. You will also be given some tonal memory evaluations and be asked to sing a melody while another is being sung simultaneously.
Be sure your scores are secure and clearly marked for the accompanist.
If there are "call backs", you will be asked to sing part of one of your character's pieces from the show.

You will be required to cold read from the script or from a monologue provided. Please familiarize yourself with the characters as you will be asked to explore perceived personalities and quirks as described.
