Lehigh Valley Stage has learned that a potentially choice theatre and arts space may soon be offered for sale in Quakertown, Pa.
Bucks County businessman Jay Fletcher informed Lehigh Valley Stage today that, "The old moose lodge in Quakertown is going up for sale very soon for about 125,000 dollars, and they would love to get a theater company [to] occupy the space.
"A buddy of mine is on the revitalization board in Qtown, and he asked me if I knew anyone who had any possible interest."
"The person at the borough to contact is Ed Scholl," Fletcher added.
Presently, the only active secular theater space in the borough is situated above a banquet hall on South Main Street.
"They just put in a brewery a few doors down [from the old Moose Lodge on East Broad Street]," Fletcher informed us, "Think art space," he added, "not retail or commercial."
