The mystery of Pines Dinner Theatre is how they always manage to put on such great performances! Such is the case as well with WhoDunit, the current production, running now till October 24.
Especially impressive is Oliver Blatt’s set, which covers the whole stage. The painted books look like they could be three-dimensional, which is really cool. Also, eerie music plays during dinner, setting the mood.

Maxwell Gorman is hilariously snarky as Thomas Johnson, the butler. His baritone is on point, and he is mysterious in “Strange Things Going On”.
Christina Freeman is cocky as Carrie Innes. She has a beautiful mezzo-soprano voice in “Irony”. Gabby Horndrop is sweet and gentile as Carrie’s niece Sally Innes. The friend she brings to her aunt’s winter home is a gentleman who seems very confused at the goings-on at the manor, Jacky Bailey, played by Harrison Fox. He has a part in “Unwitting Trio”, which indicates that he might not be as nice as he seems though!
Tiffany Ironside has a perfect British accent as the maid Liddy Allen, and provides the comic relief. Grey Boyer is stoic as Mr. Jarvis, the epitome of a police detective. He has a lovely tenor voice.
Regina Phalanges steals the show as tarot reader and groundskeeper Zara, especially in the song “The Card Reader”.
Ken Adams and Matt Geist do very nicely in the respective cameos as the Mysterious Stranger and as Reggie Armstrong.
Remaining performances are 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays through October 24. You can also come an hour and a half early and enjoy a meal for an additional price, which I highly recommend doing.
Pines Dinner Theatre is located at 315 Cedar Crest Boulevard in Allentown. Tickets are $42 per show.
So whodunit? Pines Dinner Theatre!
