Two clowns, a car in the garage, a chicken in the pot, and a child on the way - is it enough to make true love stick' In a madcap tragicomedy about romance and loss, inspired by the physical comedy of Buster Keaton and the absurdity of Looney Tunes, the captivating cast of two blend vocal sound effects, quirky humor, and an evocative 1930s soundtrack to reveal the mad, messy, sticky side of love.
There will be brief post-show talkbacks following each performance. Single Shoe Theatre Productions will also be presenting a workshop titled “Building Characters and Physical Storytelling” on Saturday October 8, 10am-1pm. Award-winning performance artist José Torres-Tama presents a sci-fi Latino Noir Multimedia Solo, satirizing the status of Latino immigrants as aliens and exploring the trends in hate crimes against immigrants across the US. - a nation founded and built by immigrants.

Touchstone’s annual showcase performance of exceptional, original plays written by Lehigh Valley students during the theatre’s Young Playwrights’ Lab. At the Festival, celebrate the creative spark that burns within these students, as you witness their words brought to life in truly Touchstone style, with a slew of professional and community artists. Then, help us foster that spark at the Gala, where monies raised support the Young Playwrights’ Lab in the following school year. Festivities are held at Zoellner Arts Center.
Join us before the show for a family friendly preshow party with snacks, basket raffle, and a chance to meet the playwrights!
An adult Gala & Auction Fundraiser will directly follow the Festival with desserts, drinks, and live music; proceeds benefit Touchstone’s arts-in-education programs.
