Crowded Kitchen Players will present 'A Flea in Her Ear', David Ives' ragingly ridiculous adaptation of the 1907 Georges Feydeau farce, at McCoole's Arts and Events Place early this autumn.poster

The show will run September 26 through October 13.

It is 1907, the Chandebise mansion!

A rumor” that pesky flea in her ear” has Mrs Chandebise believing that her hus¬band is seeing another woman.

With the aide of her best friend Lucienne, she sets a trap at the notorious Frisky Puss Hotel where she hopes to catch him

in flagrante delicto, but where, instead, just about everyone she knows is caught by just about everyone they know doing just about everything you can imagine¦ and then some!

In this monumentally silly show, nothing plays out the way one intends it!

Crowded Kitchen Players is variously acclaimed and reviled as the most persistent of regional companies in the production of farce.

'A Flea in Her Ear' is their 55th production since they began at Mauch Chunk Opera House in March 2000.

The show features many of the Crowded Kitchen Players ensemble, including founding member Pamela Wallace, Nancy Mikkelsen, Sharon Ferry, Sarah Thomas, Jay Fletcher, Bill Gibson, Patti Squire, and Michael Thew, as well as newcomers Kate Hughes, Michael Crotty, Rachel Tizol, Becca Wahoff, and Johnny Smith.

The producers suggest that the show is intended for mature audiences.
