The teaser for “A Perfect Fit” reads:
A Fading Hollywood Star
     Running Out of Time,
A Frustrated Young Screenwriter
     Running Out of Hope.
“The Perfect Fit”, Crowded Kitchen Players’ 110th regional stage production since 2000, is inspired by actual events that were unfolding in the Lehigh Valley 30 years ago when two regional filmmakers pursued Oscar-winning film and television star Jack Palance to play a leading role in their first feature length picture.

“The Perfect Fit” well be performed on the stage of Between the Lines Studio Theatre July 31 through August 9, at 725 N. 15th Street, Allentown, PA.
In the play----
After years of trying unsuccessfully to raise funding for his first feature film, an aspiring young screenwriter, Zach McKenzie, is granted the rarest opportunity to meet with Oscar-winning Hollywood legend,  Rory LaRue, and try to interest him into taking on the leading role of his movie.
But, Zach  is a nearly hopeless perfectionist who never seems to be satisfied either with the words he painstakingly writes or the actors whom he auditions to play his characters.
When his prospects of making his film are at their lowest point, Zach’s advocates and friends, entertainment reporter Walter Sheehan and his newspaper editor Carmela Pulcini, drag him deep into Pennsylvania’s coal country to the trailer park where Rory now sequesters himself.
And while Zach fervently insists on casting only the “perfect” actor---- and not necessarily the most famous or acclaimed actor----, the aged and somewhat fading star, Rory, may have his own equally compelling reasons for not wanting to take on the challenges of a risky return to the screen.
“The Perfect Fit” features David (Oz) Oswald as Rory LaRue, retired movie actor; Colin Core as Zachery McKenzie, aspiring screenwriter; Trish Cipoletti as Carmela Pulcini, newspaper editor; Pamela Wallace as Phyllis, Rory’s housekeeper; and Danny Black as Walter Sheehan, entertainment news reporter.
“The Perfect Fit” will be performed July 31, August 1,7, 8 @ 730PM and August 2, 9 @ 200PM.
