The Northampton Community College Theatre Department's season continues with Lombardi, based on the book, When Pride Still Mattered - A Life of Vince Lombardi by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David Maraniss.

William Mutimer, NCC's theatre department chair, directs Eric Simonson's story that centers on the tenacious Lombardi's rise through the coaching ranks before arriving at the Green Bay Packers' losing franchise in 1958. The title role is played by local Civic Theatre veteran Robert Trexler; he is joined by Lori Colacito, another community theatre regular, as Marie Lombardi. Other members of the cast include Ryan Patrick Allen as Michael McCormick; Justin Fergusen as Dave Robinson; Blake Kreider as Paul Hornung; and George McKenzie as Jim Taylor.

It will be presented Thursday, Feb. 13 - Saturday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in NCC's Lipkin Theatre, at its main campus, 3835 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem. Due to mature themes, it is appropriate for middle school and older. lombardi playbill CROP

NCC's student-run restaurant, Hampton Winds, will once again provide a fine dining experience before two of the performances. On Thursday, Feb. 13 and Friday, Feb. 14, enjoy "Dinner & A Show" before the 7:30 p.m. curtain. The students have created a Valentine-themed, three-course meal available for $30. Future NCC productions include Little Foxes (Feb. 27-March 2), and Dogfight (April 16-19); the NCC Summer Theatre professional season opens on June 3 with Titanic: The Musical, featuring Jarrod Yuskauskus as Thomas Andrews, the designer of the doomed vessel.
