Selkie Theatre presents 'Occupy Your Mind' at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Lehigh Valley for two shows only on Friday, October 12 & Saturday, October 13 at 7:30pm.

'Occupy Your Mind' was hewn from Occupy Wall Street interviews by the Obie Award-winning New York City theatre ensemble, The Civilians.

The Civilians are known for their original pieces investigating real-life topics and people. They began collecting, transcribing and performing stories from the Occupy Movement in September of 2011, resulting in the OCCUPY YOUR MIND project. These intimate interviews reveal the thought-provoking and unexpected, the infuriating and the hilarious, the communal and the personal stories of the ongoing display of discontent and hope that is Occupy Wall Street (OWS).

The voices onstage explore the colorful beginnings of the movement through to the massive midnight police action that cleared the encamped protestors from Zucotti Park.

Young and old, black and white, Tea Party members and anarchists alike, they share their thoughts on this dynamic exercise in democracy, what the future holds for OWS, and how it has changed their lives.

The cast includes Will Alexander, Justin Ariola, Jack Armstrong, Jessica Barberry, Troy Brokenshire, Arianna Garcia, Christian Hays, Parrish Hurley, Brian Keller, Elizabeth McDonald, Tom Mattei, Laura Mirsky, Danielle Notaro, Kathy Pacheco, Marcy Repp, Roy Shuler, Karen Davis Walia, and Cleveland Wall.

'Occupy Your Mind' is directed by George Miller. Singer/songwriter Roland Kushner contributes music and songs to the performances.

A catered Community Reception with the artists follows each performance, affording an opportunity for to pursue the conversations begun onstage.

Tickets are a $15 suggested donation, with part ofof the proceeds going to the Bethlehem Food Co-Op project.
