Playcrafters of Skippack present Ira Levin's 'Dr. Cook's Garden through September 1, 2018 at their theater in Montgomery County.

Their press release asks, "Have you ever thought, 'That person is horrible and the world would be better off without them in it.'

"This is a play that delves into that question.

"It is 1966 when Dr. Jim Tennyson, played by Ryan Henzes, visits his childhood hometown in Vermont. It really is a perfect small town, with a perfect family doctor, played by Stephen Keurschner, and his perfect garden. But, is the town too perfect'"

Ira Levin is better known for his blockbuster novels "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Boys from Brazil", both of which were turned into popular motion pictures, and his smash hit Broadway show, "Death Trap".

The play ran briefly on Broadway in 1967, with strong lead actors in Burl Ives, as Dr. Cook, and Keir Dullea, as his protege.
