Canadensis, PA (September 18, 2018) - The Pocono Mountains Theater Company returns to the Lehigh Valley with a production of Caryl Churchill’s A Number. Performance venues include Bethlehem’s Red Stag Pub on October 9th, 16th and 23rd at 7 PM, Allentown’s Brewworks on October 11th and 25th at 7 PM, and The Ice House on October 19th and 20th at 8 PM. Additional performance locations will be announced shortly.
A Number explores the fragility of personal identity and nature versus nurture. A son confronts his emotionally distant father, learning a horrifying truth about his past. This is a profound work whose characters grapple with guilt, vanity, menace and quiet resentment.
George B. Miller, Artistic Director of Selkie Theatre and host (with his wife, Kate Scuffle) of WDIY’s “Lehigh Valley Arts Salon”, will direct the production. Benjamin Lovell and Peter Sanchez have been cast as father and son, both making their first appearance with PMTC. For tickets go to http://www.poconomountainstheatercompany.org.
Artistic Director, Brian Long, said: “We are excited to join up with Director George B. Miller and this fantastic duo of actors as we continue in our efforts to bring great theater to the Lehigh Valley.
