Hilariously dark and humorously tragic, Cedar Crest College Department of Performing Arts’ production of “Heathers The Musical”  is tight, clever, tuneful and features great performances.

The cult classic musical is at Samuels Theater, Cedar Crest College, 100 College Drive, Allentown through Feb. 23.
Audiences should be aware the show deals with serious topics, including violence, suicide, assault and bullying, in a humorous tone.

Pennsylvania Playhouse has delivered a satisfyingly gripping thriller in its production of the English play “Dial ‘M’ for Murder,” through Feb. 9 at the playhouse, 390 Illick’s Mill Road, Bethlehem. 
The classic play, as deftly directed by Gary Boyer, is filled with complicated twists and turns that has audiences sitting on the edge of their seats.
Although the exposition-heavy play starts a bit slowly, it steadily gains steam as all the parts come together.

Sly, smart "POTUS" at Northampton Community College Theatre

Northampton Community College Theatre Department’s enjoyably sly and smart “POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive” is a frenetic, energetic political satires that hits home more than not as it takes audiences on a wild ride behind closed doors at the White House.

“POTUS” is on stage through Jan. 26 in Lipkin Theater, Northampton Community College, 3835 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township.

Civic’s Theatre514’s production of “Vixen’s Holiday Speakeasy” is the perfect antidote for holiday stress.
Civic has pulled out all the stops for this playful, naughty and joyful original show on stage at 514 N. 19th St., Allentown, through Dec. 22.
As soon as you walk into the building, you are transported to a wild, wacky and hilarious world. In true speakeasy fashion you must give a password through a little opening in a door to enter, where you are greeted with complimentary fresh baked cookies and an opportunity to buy holiday themed drinks.
