Civic’s Theatre514’s production of “Vixen’s Holiday Speakeasy” is the perfect antidote for holiday stress.
Civic has pulled out all the stops for this playful, naughty and joyful original show on stage at 514 N. 19th St., Allentown, through Dec. 22.
As soon as you walk into the building, you are transported to a wild, wacky and hilarious world. In true speakeasy fashion you must give a password through a little opening in a door to enter, where you are greeted with complimentary fresh baked cookies and an opportunity to buy holiday themed drinks.

Pennsylvania Playhouse has staged a charming and rewarding “White Christmas” through Dec. 22 at the playhouse, 390 Illick’s Mill Road, Bethlehem.
The show fills the playhouse’s stage with tuneful songs accompanied by plenty of high-energy tap-dancing.

Civic Theatre delivers plenty of holiday spirit with its 33rd annual holiday production of "A Christmas Carol"  through Dec. 21 at the historic 19th Street Theater, 527 N. 19th St., Allentown. 
The show begins, as always, setting the stage as families parade across the stage on their busy holiday errands and carolers sing with fervor, creating a delightfully immersive experience.

Touchstone's Follies XXV merry, rollicking holiday fun

Touchstone Theatre’s “Christmas City Follies XXV” demonstrated it has stood the test of time with a merry, rollicking show that both looks back and forward for the vaudeville-style show’s 25th anniversary.
The show, through Dec. 22 at Touchstone’s black box theater, 321 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem, started off with Touchstone co-founder Bill George recalling how the annual Christmas show started simply enough in a garage, and went on to develop a life of its own.

Whimsical "Mr. Dickens' Hat" delights at Desales

Act 1 DeSales University Theatre has staged a witty and whimsical new holiday-inspired play with original music, in 
its area premiere of “Mr. Dickens’ Hat: A Play with Music” through Dec. 8 on the Main Stage of the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts,  2755 Station Avenue, Center Valley.
Written and composed by Philadelphia playwright Michael Hollinger, the amusing and lighthearted play is inspired by a true incident in which  Charles Dickens was involved in a train accident in 1865, and used his hat to bring water to the injured and dying passengers. 
In this story, Dickens’ hat ends up on display as the centerpiece of a hat shop in Victorian London.
